Hi, my name is Daniel Allen. I’ve loved trees and nature for as long as I can remember, but that passion truly took root (pun intended) during my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, where I experienced the quiet strength, resilience, and beauty of the forest up close.

This love guided me to a BS in Forestry (w/Horticulture minor) from Utah State University and a career learning the craft hands-on—as an arborist foreman and later as an Urban Forester with the State Division of Forestry.

 

Along the way, I realized something simple but powerful: trees live their best lives when they’re provided with proper care early, and a little preventative maintenance goes a long way.

 

That idea became the heart of Essential Tree Care. Today, I love to combine tree science (arboriculture), more than a decade of experience, and my lifelong love of trees to help homeowners and property managers get their best results by nurturing young, ornamental, and fruit trees—keeping them healthy, strong, and beautiful for many years to come.
